Cindy Carson serves as Human Resources and Payroll Manager for the City of Stilwell. She has had this position six months. As a recent hire who has a responsibility to each employee for an accurate paycheck, she is the featured

Employee of the Month for September.


Carson has many responsibilities including recruitment, compensation, benefits, training and development, and employee relations.


She has many years of experience in the payroll industry and Human Resources and considers the City of Stilwell good place to work.

“I think for once in my life I can say I love my job. My co-workers are phenomenal, and the City truly cares about its employees,” she said.


Her family is her pride and joy. “I have two daughters, Kelsea and Montana Carson, and one grandson Maverick, who is truly the center of my world,” she said.


She moved here 30 years ago from a large city in Texas and currently lives outside of town.

“Small town living sure took some time to adjust to, but I am so glad I did. It is so nice to be driving down the road and you pass a vehicle and they wave at you even though they may not even know you,” Carson said.


She raised both of her girls here and would certainly recommend it to anyone who could be entertaining the thought of relocating here.


“This is a small town, but it’s a town filled with kindness and generosity,” said Carson.
