This division provides news related to municipal government, including public meetings on Facebook Live, news releases, an employee newsletter and more.
In this department, Renee Fite provides public information, promotes public relations and posts positive media photos and stories about the City of Stilwell, Stilwell people and events, and shares the many wonderful aspects of Stilwell, to tell our story.
Stilwell is a rural community in northeast Oklahoma, known as the Strawberry Capitol of the World and for its annual Strawberry Festival, the second Saturday in May. We share Progress to reflect an accurate and positive perception of Stilwell: New business such as Taco Bell opening, pets in need of claiming or adoption, the many new homes being built, job openings, people and groups who benefit Stilwell through volunteering, clubs, sports and recreation, its livability and good news, such as McDonalds expanding and reopening, and our mayor winning Mayor of the Year for cities with a population of under 5,000 and the city winning the Innovation Award for our newest park, both at the Oklahoma Municipal League annual conference, all to reflect an accurate and positive perception of Stilwell.
If you are a member of the media and need help during normal City hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., please contact City Communications Director Renee Fite by email renee@cityofstilwell.com or call City Hall at 918 696-7143.
