Municipal Judge

Municipal Court meets the second Thursday of each month except March, when it's the first Thursday. Juvenile court and tickets issued by the City of Stilwell Police Department are tried in Municipal Court. Rex Earl Starr is the Municipal Judge. The court appearance date is listed on the front of the ticket, in the following order: day, month and year.

The municipal court records are managed by Sheila Chronister. Municipal Court is set up with two separate court times for juveniles and adults.


Juvenile violations are held at 3 p.m. Juveniles need to bring their school attendance record and grades. The goal is to get them quickly through the system with the least amount of impact. Adult court is held at 4 p.m.


Payment plans may be set up prior to court date. There are no repercussions for those who have fines paid in full prior to the court date and do not appear in court.


For traffic violations of Drivers License and Insurance, proof of driver’s license and or insurance will need to be brought into the court appearance or when paying off the fine.

Method of Payments


Fines are payable by cash, check or money order in person at City Hall. Also citizens have the option of paying online and on the phone via credit or debit card. A fee is charged for credit and debit card processing.

Attendance


Must be on time, will be a first come, first serve basis or at the Judge’s discretion.


Rescheduling must be done prior to court date.
