Scenic Hunt Mill Hollow Ranch can accommodate all guests seeking tranquility and adventures, from a glamping weekend to corporate retreat.

Imagine a morning dawns in streaks of coral and pink, and from the porch, coffee in hand, the view is wildlife gathered around a lake. About 50 deer, along with elk, wild pigs, a zebra and bison can been seen grazing in the early morning. Ducks and geese skim across a lake in search of breakfast. Turkeys, raccoons and coyotes also can be seen at times.

Guests at the ranch south of Stilwell enjoy a similar view at day break and sunset.

The range of services for a memorable stay can include romantic weddings to luxurious glamping, a cozy stay at an Airbnb, to unique corporate events.

For photographers and hunters, the ranch has about 100 bison, 120 elk, 10,000 deer, hundreds of hogs, and the ponds are stocked with bass for catch and release. Guests can catch and keep Bluegill catfish and crappy. There are about 30 feeders on the ranch during winter months. They also have gun blinds and archery stands.

“People who grow up in the cities never get to see this, and people I bring from LA haven’t seen deer, or elk, ponds and pastures. They are amazed when they come here,” he said.

They also offer muzzleloader hunts, rifle hunts and wingshooting.

Hunt Mill Hollow came together when Wendleburg wanted to buy a ranch and looked all over Texas, Colorado, Montana and Idaho.

His realtor found the land in the Bell Community and eventually purchased four properties to create his version of paradise.

Since purchasing the property in 2018 he’s put in several spring-fed lakes.

“I love to hunt and I love wildlife, so I’m creating this place for myself and others to enjoy,” said Wendleburg.

It is a sustainable ranch. They use wood from the property to build cabins. Clover, chicken, soy beans and peas are grown to feed the wildlife.

The ranch also works with the Department of Wildlife and Game which check his animals each year. Axis Deer, Fallow and White Tail roam the property along with Aoudad Sheep.

“We offer luxury hunts where you just enjoy the experience. You get transported around the ranch to hunt. We take care of everything for them and will process the kill down to quarters or take to a local meat processor or they can take with them,” he said.

Trophy and management hunts are affordable. They also have quail and pheasant hunts.

“Our pheasant hunts can be conducted as an action packed European Hunt atop Juke's Mountain, or as a field hunt over pointing dogs. The European Hunts are for groups of four or more shooters and are assured to give you lots of fast shooting action,” he said.

In the Ozark hills of Adair County a Los Angeles veterinarian, who specializes in small animal surgery, is creating a 4,300 square mile exotic hunting ranch and preserve that will find global acclaim as it gains notice.

Kirk L. Wendelburg considered the property beautiful and the view breath-taking when he purchased it. He continues to enhance it for private and public enjoyment. Eventually he plans to retire and enjoy his legacy.

Access to the ranch can include a guided tour, meals, lodging, music and more. For special events games with prizes such as a wild hog hunt, fishing contest, archery elimination contest, sporting clays elimination contest, golf chipping contest, and Elk Calling contest can be offered.

“We offer summer recreations, corporate team building, bachelor and bachelorette parties, photo parties and can accommodate most any event,” said Wendleburg.

For glampers, the experience can be as rustic or pampered as the guest chooses. Glamping sites have king and queen size beds and many amenities including a full bathroom.

“We can provide full butler services and meals brought out or just a cooler full of drinks and food. Prior to coming, a guest can give us a list of supplies and we’ll have it ready at the campsite,” said Wendleburg.

Elk Hunting trips are for the individual or small group of hunters looking to experience a true adventure chasing a trophy bull.

“Our trophy elk are pure genetic offspring of the original Yellowstone elk herd, with no crossbred red stag influence,” he said.

Guided Quail Hunts are conducted in areas of the ranch specifically managed for quail and upland bird habitat. The hunts will include both wild and planted quail.

“We conduct day hunts with or without a single stay at our luxury lodge, or multiple day hunts. These hunts can also be combined with any of our large game hunts. All hunts include food and lodging, a guide, and 10 planted birds per gun, and bird processing. More birds can be purchased,” Wendelburg said.

Those looking for action packed, adrenaline pumping adventure will find an archery only hog hunt at Hunt Mill Hollow Ranch exciting. “We not only have many trophy wild boars on the ranch that grow more than 300 pounds, but also a large population of “meat hogs.”
