Weekly Trash Collection

The City Sanitation Department endeavors to provide an efficient and quick method of trash collection that will decrease the amount of trash going to the landfill and lower worker-related injuries. We kindly ask that you keep the areas in front of dumpsters clear to facilitate the work of crews.

All trash must be bagged and put inside a container.

  • Please place trash containers at least 5 feet away from any obstruction such as a mailbox, fire hydrant, parked car or utility pole.
  • Trash containers placed too close to obstructions will not be picked up.
  • Placing your trash container in front of a mail box can result in mail not being delivered. We recommend placing your trash bin on the opposite side of the driveway from your mailbox.
  • Any trash not placed inside a container will not be picked up.
  • For those who have street parking in your neighborhood, we ask you set your trash container away from the area where people park.
  • You must move your container in from the curb to your home after collection has been completed for the day. Your trash can cannot stay on the curb throughout the week.
  • Branches or large amounts of trash

If you have a large amount of trash or branches that need to be picked up, please call (918) 696-7920. Someone will come out and inspect the items then give you the total amount due to pick it up. Once the payment has been made at City Hall, 20 South First Street, the items will be picked up. Special pick ups are done on Friday only.

  • Do we pick up limbs and furniture?

Yes. First, we will send someone out to look at what items you have and will call you back to tell you about pricing. Pricing is done by the size of the vehicle we have to use or the number of pieces of furniture you have.

  • Can we cut trees on personal property?

No. It's against the law for us to come onto personal property.

  • What do I have to put my trash in?

Your trash must be in any type of barrel or sturdy container with the trash in trash bags that are closed. We will not pick up any loose trash.

Holiday Schedule

Trash collection will not occur on holidays. Customer's trash will be delayed at least one day. For example, if the holiday falls on a Monday and your trash is usually picked up on a Monday, your trash will be delayed until Tuesday. If your normal pickup is Tuesday, it will be picked up Wednesday and so on for the rest of the week. Any different days will be posted on our social media.
