Utilities Board

The Stilwell Utility Board added a new member and elected officers at the January 14, 2025 meeting. After being approved by both the Stilwell City Council and Stilwell Utilities board, Kelly Funburg was sworn in at the monthly meeting to fill her late husband's board seat.

“I wanted to continue what Doug had already accomplished,” said Funburg. “He asked me to continue in his footsteps and he told me I would be a good fit for the Board.”

How did it feel, on Tuesday night, to be sworn in to fill that position?

“I felt really proud to represent Doug and continue his legacy. I felt excited to represent the City of Stilwell,” Funburg said.

Funburg said important qualities for board members are, “ to be trustworthy and to have the City's best interest in mind when making decisions.”

She feels confident in the organization and appreciates the boards good qualities.

“I think every member on the board really cares about the town and wants to make decisions that positively effect the people of Stilwell,” she said.

Funburg said she’s looking forward to working with and for the employees of the City and want to see the growth of Stilwell continue on.

She also wants the community to know how much she values Stilwell.

”I would like to take this time to thank the entire community for the prayers and love you have shown to Doug and our family, and I am beyond excited to keep Doug's legacy alive for the city we love,” said Funburg.
