Fall O Ween Yard Decorating Contest

Pumpkins, hay bales, autumn leaves, jack-o-lanterns, witches and goblins, oh yes!

It’s Fall and the month of Halloween, and the City of Stilwell will be hosting a Decorating contest. Citizens are encouraged to decorate the yard or porch with Fall harvest, Halloween or both for entertainment and community fun.

Any type of decor will be considered, that is fun, clever, scary, Autumn themed. Mummies, skeletons, zombies and friends are welcome, just think Casper the Friendly Ghost, not Freddy Kruger, but all are welcome to fill the yard and or porch with entertaining decorations.

“We want this to be fun and with family friendly themes, that will give people a reason to drive by and look at the creativity with their children,” said Mayor Jean Ann Wright. “All decorations are welcome.

Enter the contest starting Monday, October 6. Submit no more than two photos of the home with decorations to renee@cityofstilwell.com.

Include your name and contact information for keeping track of entries or questions. The entries will be posted on the City Facebook page and on this website. The last day to enter a photo is Friday, October 17 at noon.

Voting will begin on this page on Saturday, October 18 and end Friday, October 24 at noon.

Winners will be announced at Fall Fest downtown, Saturday, October 25 at 1:00 p.m., and on social media.
